OVERVIEW
The PowerWerx SS30DV has enough reserve capability to expand your shack at home to include the KXPA100. This means you do not have to buy an additional power supply if you choose this approach. We've tested the SS30DV and find it an excellent performer for small shacks. In fact, we've used them for years for our demonstration tables at hamfests and shows.

Q: Why did Elecraft select the Power Werx SS30DV power supply to sell?
A: Elecraft found that the Power Werx SS30DV worked to power their demo booths at Hamfests for well over three years. We're confident that it meets our criteria for a low-noise, small sized power supply suitable for very small shacks yet can support an entire K-Line or KX-Line of products, as our customers expand their systems.
Q: Does the fan run all the time?
A: Yes, but its speed will vary on the transmitting load. When receiving, the fan cannot be heard.
Q: Do I have to adjust the output voltage on the SS30DV to operate with my Elecraft gear?
A: No. The SS30DV is factory-adjusted to provide input voltage for Elecraft radios to meet specified RF output specs, 13.8 volts DC.
Q: I'd like to order the SS30DV but I live outside the US. Can I order cables with the proper AC plug for my region? will it work with 220/240 volt outlets?
A: Yes. Please order the proper AC plug/cable from the list of cables available for the KPA500. You can find these on the The SS30DV can be switched to operate worldwide in 120 volt or 220/240 volt AC power distribution systems.
