There is a lot going for the Nostalgia Electrics 3 in 1 Breakfast Station, however there is a HUGE hindrance with their packaging. It is written in English and Spanish. The Spanish is a HUGE deterrent as I am not in Mexico, Central nor South America or Spain. I also do NOT speak Spanish nor will I. It was bad enough I had to take it way back in high school since the school I transferred to did not offer Chinese and that is what I was taking as a language prior. So of course I do not feel comfortable with the Spanish on the packaging and was so traumatized I promptly threw the box away without even recycling and was even hesitant to look at the manual as well. I look forward to Nostalgia Electrics improving their packaging and having it only in English for their North American customers such as myself. That being said the product itself is thankfully all in English. I love that it is not just a toaster oven; but also a mini grill and mini coffee brewer, thereby it maximizes the space it takes up on my and my spouse’s kitchen counter. The unique design works great for my coffee system.I drink Turkish coffee and use a Cuisinart On Demand Coffee Machine to brew the Turkish coffee, as it requires special brewing that this machine handles to perfection. The Cuisinart On demand places the brewed coffee in a built in ‘hidden’ carafe, thereby no big coffee pot is necessary. My spouse and I save any leftover coffee placing it in a mason jar so none is wasted. We place the mason jar in our refrigerator, vacuum sealing it with a Foodsaver appliance. When the jar is filled up I can (pasteurize and preserve) the coffee by placing it in my oven at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour. The jar automatically vacuum seals from this and the coffee is placed on the shelf so we can make homemade Frappucinos with it later or other cold coffee drinks. It stays perfectly fresh this way and is shelf stable. The Nostalgia Electrics 3 in 1 Breakfast station fits into my coffee system in two ways. First, if my cup of coffee ever gets cold I take my cup and pour it in the little pot on my 3 in 1 Breakfast Station and reheat it on the built in hot plate rather than dump it in the sink. I can also brew decaffeinated coffee (4 cups or less,) using this. Since we do not drink much decaf, this works for us. I have also used it to warm up homemade cocoa I vacuum seal and store in the fridge. It is great for quick vegetarian breakfasts also. Here is a few examples of how I use it. I take homemade biscuit dough I keep in a ½ gallon mason jar vacuum sealed in my fridge and using two mason jar bands as a mold I place the dough inside. The bands themselves are sprayed with canola oil and so is the Aroma Professional (that has a cake function,) that I place them in. Then I turn the Aroma on to cake. It does the rest and makes two perfect English muffins, better than any other I have ever tasted. You could probably try it with some store bough biscuit dough if you do not have a bread machine to make your own dough. Do not fill the dough above the height of the mason jar band and you will get perfect super fresh English muffins so easy.I then take my little Von Shef egg boiler and let it soft boil some eggs for me right before the English muffins are done. While this is occurring I take out a few strips of Vegetarian Morning Star Bacon. I place them on my 3 in 1 Breakfast Station and grab some cheddar cheese. A healthy, vegetarian breakfast with little effort. The rest of the packaged veggie bacon I vacuum seal with my Foodsaver. The 3 in 1 makes it easy to just quickly grill a few things. The lid to the grill can also be utilized when grilling sandwiches similar to a grill press. My spouse sometimes cooks huge batches of veggie bacon on the weekend. He vacuum seals it in ½ gallon mason jars and we used to reheat it in the microwave for 20 seconds until I found a better way using our Breakfast station to reheat it. I take a piece of foil, spray it with canola oil and reheat the vegetarian bacon this way, it tastes like he just made it. This makes it easy for us to have vegetarian bacon at any time with breakfast. The toaster I find can only toast two pieces of bread using the one rack it comes with. There is a slot for another rack however, and additional ones can be purchased. Know not much can fit in the oven portion. I rewarm a sandwich in it once in a while. It is great for what I wanted it for as I will not be will be using a toaster oven as an oven, just to toast bread. When I am not making decaf coffee with it I also use the compartment where water is poured to brew coffee to store some of my smallest kitchen utensils.-by Julie Sands** Edited after several months of use: I'm raising this to 4 stars after 3 months of using it 5-6 times a week. **Initially, I was disappointed in this product. However, that's because I wanted it to be more. I love the concept (trailer life) and would gladly pay twice as much for what it combines into a single unit that successfully combined these function in this size. So...after using it for routine duties I am feeling better about it. I've made pizza, burgers, grilled cheese, ham and cheese, toasted buns on top, cooked pot pies in it, made coffee and yes, baked cookies (Tollhouse pre-mades) as well as biscuits in it (the frozen Mrs. B style). I cook by sight and touch not time, test meat with a thermometer if I have doubts. I use the coffee-maker and get one large coffee cup of coffee with a 5-6 oz warm up a day. If you fill the coffee-maker and then add a tiny bit more after it begins to go through for a minute, you get about 24 oz. of coffee. It's enough for me but if you are a coffee-drinker who wonder about an IV drip get a full-sized Mr. Coffee.Pros: It looks good, the controls seem to work as advertised (multi-functional as grill, oven, toaster-oven) and it is a great size for one person, maybe two light eaters/drinkers.The top grll comes off easily and has proven easy to clean.Neutral: No temperature settings. The controls choices are ONLY: Grill - Top Element only is Grill Mode for the top grill surface - does ciabatta buns in about 6 minutes, Oven/Toaster - Both Elements - 400 degrees - buns take longer but will toast up there too, Warm/Reheat - Bottom Element Only - 300 degrees; and a second control which is a twist-style timer up to 30 minutes.Cons: The drip pan is smaller than the grill which makes it messy to control the grease. I now put HD alum foil down, flair it to the sides a bit and it catches more grease. Only one grill/baking rack is provided (two would let you toast four large pieces of bread at a time in there - I use Texas Toast and buns more than regular bread). The door doesn't come off the unit for cleaning and you need to be careful touching the top of the unit when cooking unless you want a waffle grill pattern forever burned into your hand (sides and door will burn you too). I remain a little concerned that when the filter in the coffee-maker gets old it may prove difficult to find a replacement but I pull it out and clean it regularly and a neighbor thinks I can find a replacement.Hope this helps. After waiting two weeks to get this I was completely unimpressed when I opened the box. It might as well be an easy bake oven. All the pictures are designed to make it look bigger then it actually is. The toaster does not fit 4 average slices of bread and the coffee maker is supposed to make 4 cups of coffee which it does notPrimero que nada debo decir que esta máquina tiene un diseño hermoso, se ve elegante y cumple su función a la perfección. :)The item is adequate, as long as you don't try and push it too hard. The toaster works. It's small, but it works. Try rye or Italian bread for a better fit. The coffee maker works. It makes four small cups of coffee. You may need another pot. The grill works. It cooks slowly. That's actually a good thing for the food. Don't expect to cook a half pound of bacon while you make three slices of toast. We use ours at the trailer and it is a great space saver. Perfect for two adults and one kid.I got this for my college bound daughter. Itd Just the right size for her dorm. Its 3 items in one and when space is at a premium. Its perfect. She can do the breakfast stuff but also grilled cheese, chicken nuggets ect. All the the things college kids eat. It's a perfect size and application for a single person.
