Bought this for my 2004 VW Jetta 1.8T, my fuse box kept burning up, it's a known issue and the alternator wiring harness is the culprit. I got this and a replacement fuse box also here on amazon. I watched a couple videos I found on YouTube and decided to take it on. After taking off the throttle body, taking off the fuse box, taking out the battery and battery box the old harness is pretty easy to get out, although it did take me a while to reinstall the new one. I took a lot of notes about placement of the original and took my time. Overall I'm very pleased and I can run my A/C and blower fan full blast on a Triple degree day in the california Central Valley without my fuse. Of burning up(original problem, well known issue)
