I chose the Mustart 40 amp charger because it represents the best value for the dollar. It can be mounted to wall, or left as it comes and remains portable. One might think that all public charging locations will have a connection, but consider how many RV specific charging locations have just a NEMA 14-50 plug in. That's when being able to carry your own with you comes in real handy!The display is small, but feature filled. It tells you all you need to know about how much current the unit is passing, and also has the most useful display of all - temperature! Any time you're running 240 volts and 40 amps of current, expect some heating and this unit lets you know when it's getting too hot. Having said that, the only heat issue I've had was when I had it charging my car in direct, afternoon sunlight which caused the unit to heat up until I placed it in a shaded location where upon the temperature went down immediately.I have been using this for about 2 weeks now to charge my Hyundai Kona electric and it's done a stellar job. generally it indicates about 7.4 kWh being drawn which equates to almost 30 miles of range per hour of charge. Even with the Kona's 291 mile range at 100% charge, my charging time is generally around 4 hours since I prefer to top-off every 2 to 3 days rather than run the battery all the way down.The cable is thick, and appear quite rugged. Though the state the unit is for indoor use, I have been using mine outdoors from an outlet installed on my front porch. Perhaps a driving rain might cause problems, but just being outside does not.I chose this unit because it's a solid $200 less expensive than other models and "brand names" while offering as much, and in many case more of what a charger is all about - charge rate.I highly recommend it!
